This team owns the APIs, entitlements, policies, and platform primitives that enable everything else. It's the first thing a customer touches and the integration layer every internal team depends on. We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer who owns hard problems end to end, moves without hand-holding, and can be the technical anchor for a team that touches every corner of the company.</p> <h4><strong>What you'll do: </strong></h4> <ul> <li>Own features end-to-end: from design through implementation, rollout, and iteration, in close partnership with Product Management and the partner Chainguard teams.</li> <li>Design, build, and evolve the backend systems (Go, REST/gRPC APIs) that power Chainguard's entitlement, policy, and customer onboarding services</li> <li>Serve as the primary technical interface between Customer Platform and other Chainguard engineering teams (Containers, Libraries, OS packages) by understanding their requirements and building integration paths</li> <li>Extend Chainguard

We're expanding that factory to new inbound ecosystems, while raising the bar on how much of the remediation and build lifecycle runs without a human in the loop.</p> <p>As a Principal Software Engineer on the Libraries Platform team, you'll set technical direction for that expansion. This is a strategic, cross-organizational platform role: you're not just operating the existing factory, you're deciding how it generalizes to ecosystems it wasn't originally built for, and how much of the remediation pipeline - from CVE detection through patch, rebuild, verification, and release - can become fully automated rather than engineer-mediated.
