LawnStarterRemote1mo ago

Headquarters: Brazil URL: http://lawnstarter.com About LawnStarter LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and related services, with over $100M in annual bookings. We're expanding beyond lawn care to become the one-stop shop for all outdoor home services - pest control, pool cleaning, window cleaning, and more. About Engineering at LawnStarter Our engineering team builds the platform that connects hundreds of thousands of homeowners with over 70,000 active service pros. We operate three brands (LawnStarter, Lawn Love, HomeGnome) on shared infrastructure, and we're profitable and growing. Engineering here is fast - we ship constantly, we own our systems end-to-end, and we don't tolerate "not my problem." We have strong processes and existing engineering managers, so you're not building from scratch. You're raising the bar. The Role We're growing, and that means adding engineering leadership capacity to support new initiatives. You'll lead cross-functional delivery teams of 4-5 engineers, reporting to our Head of Engineering. Your job is to make sure your team ships reliably, grows professionally, and doesn't become a bottleneck as LawnStarter scales into new service verticals. This is a people-first role. If your identity as an EM is primarily technical - if you'd rather review architecture than develop an underperformer - this isn't the right fit. If you're the manager who knows what every person on your team needs to grow, who handles conflict directly, and who can articulate team performance in metrics, keep reading. What makes this role different: - You'll own both delivery AND people outcomes - neither can be delegated - Distributed team across time zones, so async leadership and written communication matter as much as meetings - We move fast and actually ship - you'll feel the difference between a team that's humming and one that's stuck - AI-forward is not a buzzword here - we expect you to lead your team on how to use it, not

You'll join Infrastructure, the team that owns the platform every other Primer engineer builds and ships on. CI/CD, deployment, internal tooling, ephemeral environments: if it's how code gets from a laptop to production safely, it's ours. We operate the way the rest of Primer does. Remote-first, async, high autonomy, low bureaucracy. You build it, you own it, and that includes running it in production. You'll report to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Data and work alongside a small group of senior infrastructure engineers. What makes this interesting right now is the human-AI development loop. Coding agents are changing how software gets built, and we want someone to own how that actually works at Primer rather than bolting it on. That part of the role is yours to define. What will you be doing? Own Primer's internal developer platform end to end: the CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows (canary, blue/green), self-service tooling and ephemeral environments that every engineer here depends on to ship. Build the human-AI development loop. This is the most open part of the role: the tooling and automation that let engineers work effectively alongside coding agents, and the patterns that make agent-driven workflows fast and safe at Primer. Treat developer productivity as a measurable system. Instrument it, find where delivery actually slows down, and ship the changes that fix it instead of guessing. Take real operational ownership. Ygo · Remote EURemote57y ago

YGO.ai is a VC-funded AI tourism platform looking for a Team Lead for one of our product engineering pods: a hands-on engineer who uses AI to ship fast and acts as the face of their pod towards clients and leadership. ⚠️IMPORTANT: This is not a traditional coding role. You'll use Claude Code and other AI tools to 10x your output, always thinking about how the product or feature you are working on benefits the user. Also: we have no QA team, you OWN the quality of what you ship! 🧭 About this role: every engineer at YGO already owns their work end-to-end (IC + DRI). Everyone in the pod is, in effect, their own architect and lead developer. So this role is not about being the strongest techie in the room or telling people how to build. A Team Lead at YGO is the spokesperson, coordinator and facilitator for their pod, internally with product, design and leadership, and externally with clients. You come from the management path, not the deep-specialist path: you have seen a lot as a developer and have consciously decided that enabling a team, working with clients and driving product outcomes is what energises you now, not coding all day. You remain a hands-on engineer. Expect roughly 30-40% of your week on coordination, client and product work, and the rest as an individual contributor. This is not an HR-style people-management role: no performance reviews, no career coaching. As we scale, light one-on-ones and check-ins may become part of it, but the job is coordination and delivery, not administration. 🧑‍💻 What you'll actually do: Be the spokesperson for your pod, internally with product, design and leadership, and externally with clients and partners Coordinate work across the pod: break initiatives into chunks, sequence them, surface blockers and facilitate hand-offs (lightweight project management, we deliberately have no project managers) Gather client requirements first-hand and funnel them straight into the pod so nothing gets lost in translation Represent you
