If that sounds motivating, this could be the place for you. 12m FTC - (London, hybrid 3 days a week) Data Science at Marshmallow Our data science team supports various business functions across our Product teams and within Pricing and Claims. Working across the full spectrum of data science problems, from traditional machine learning for risk-based decisioning through to generative AI and the automation of complex operational journeys, all within a regulated insurtech/fintech domain. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can bring a team together and ensure it delivers at pace while its foundations strengthen: leading and developing the people, personally holding the bar on technical quality, and partnering closely with engineering and product. London (hybrid, 3 days in office) Pricing at Marshmallow The Pricing team shapes how we understand risk and make pricing decisions that support sustainable growth. It plays a critical role in Marshmallow’s ambition by protecting loss ratio performance and turning complex data into clear commercial action. We work closely with claims, finance, product and other teams, to build a holistic view of risk and keep our pricing approach effective as we scale. The team acts as a key bridge between technical analytics and business strategy, helping Marshmallow stay ahead of market conditions and make confident decisions, even where data is sparse or uncertain. The team works across modelling, business strategy and stakeholder communication. The challenge is balancing technical judgement with clear storytelling for very different audiences. They work on product builds from start to finish, solving lots of challenges to help us build fast, and scale up! Our engineers cover a range of skills across frontend, backend, full stack, iOS and Android, and work alongside designers, data scientists, researchers and product managers within our product teams. Our product teams include: the Renewals team, Telematics team and the Claims team (to name a few!) Each team sets its own roadmap and QBRs, and actively pushes our codebase forward.
