An Introduction to Primer Primer is the unified infrastructure for global payments. We give finance and payments teams the visibility and control to reduce complexity, improve performance, and capture more revenue - all from a single platform. Backed by Sofina, Peak XV Partners, ICONIQ, Tencent, Accel, and Balderton, we're building the payments layer the world's best companies rely on. Watch our showcase > Read up on our $100m Series C Learn more about our culture > Which team will you be joining? You're joining the Security team at a critical inflection point. We're standing up dedicated IAM alongside GRC and Workplace Technology, and this role is the connective tissue that makes all three effective. Every new joiner, internal move, and leaver flows through IAM provisioning. You'll own the day-to-day queue, but you're not just firefighting. You'll be building the automation that shrinks that queue: SCIM-based day-one provisioning, deprovisioning pipelines, access review automation. This is where the long-term leverage lives. You'll report to the Head of Security and partner closely with the GRC and Workplace Technology teams. Unlike many security roles that sit in isolation, this one is partnership-driven. You'll work with people, engineering, workplace technology, compliance, and the wider infrastructure team to make provisioning and access governance actually work at scale. What will you be doing? Stabilise and own the IAM request queue as the company scales. You'll inherit an active backlog, understand which requests are genuinely urgent and which are nice-to-have, and establish a baseline for time-to-resolution that holds steady as the company grows. Build and maintain SCIM auto-provisioning flows for day-one account setup across our SaaS tools (Okta, Slack, GitHub, etc.). This is the highest-leverage workload reduction project. You'll own the end-to-end flow from requirements through implementation and troubleshooting. Design and execute the IAM enrolment impr

The merchant experience is only as good as the platform behind it — and most of that experience is the interface itself. The Account Experience team builds and owns the full platform merchants use to interact with Primer — from initial setup through to day-to-day operations, and increasingly through Primer AI Companion as a first-class interface. The team spans several connected areas: Primer Companion, Merchant Account Setup, Monitors, Workflows, Auditing, and the cross-cutting concerns that keep the whole merchant experience cohesive. As Staff Engineer you'll set front-end technical direction across these areas, not within a single one. You'll work across 2-3 teams, partner with multiple stakeholders, and stay hands-on in the implementation that matters most. The team runs a 'you build it, you own it' model: engineers own their work from design through to production. The stack includes TypeScript, React, and modern front-end tooling, sitting on top of services in Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. What will you be doing? Setting and driving front-end technical strategy across the Account Experience teams, from architecture and component-system decisions through to hands-on implementation where it counts Owning the architecture of a complex, data-dense merchant platform — the patterns, state management, and performance characteristics that hold up as the surface area grows Shaping how Primer AI Companion matures as a first-class merchant interface, including the fron

Every payment that flows through Primer generates data, and the Data team is what turns that torrent into something merchants and the business can actually use. We build and operate the data platform behind Primer's unified payments infrastructure, the event streaming architecture powering real-time payments analytics, the data lakehouse that makes payments data trustworthy and queryable at scale, and the pipelines that feed everything from merchant-facing insights to internal decision-making. The team is small and senior - a tight group of data engineers, including Staff-level talent, operating with a high degree of autonomy. Alongside it sits Primer's emerging ML function, which will fold into this role's remit as it matures. You'll lead the Data team as its Engineering Manager owning delivery, growth, and technical direction, reporting into a Senior Engineering Manager and partnering closely with Product and other teams across engineering, finance and revenue operations. What will you be doing? Own delivery end to end across the data platform: streaming, warehousing, modelling, and the pipelines in between, holding the team to a consistent bar on quality and pace without becoming the bottleneck yourself Lead, coach, and grow the engineers on your team: career development, feedback, performance, and building an environment where the team does its best work Stay technically credible. You'll review designs for real-time streaming systems, evaluate trade-offs in warehouse a

You'll join Infrastructure, the team that owns the platform every other Primer engineer builds and ships on. CI/CD, deployment, internal tooling, ephemeral environments: if it's how code gets from a laptop to production safely, it's ours. We operate the way the rest of Primer does. Remote-first, async, high autonomy, low bureaucracy. You build it, you own it, and that includes running it in production. You'll report to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Data and work alongside a small group of senior infrastructure engineers. What makes this interesting right now is the human-AI development loop. Coding agents are changing how software gets built, and we want someone to own how that actually works at Primer rather than bolting it on. That part of the role is yours to define. What will you be doing? Own Primer's internal developer platform end to end: the CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows (canary, blue/green), self-service tooling and ephemeral environments that every engineer here depends on to ship. Build the human-AI development loop. This is the most open part of the role: the tooling and automation that let engineers work effectively alongside coding agents, and the patterns that make agent-driven workflows fast and safe at Primer. Treat developer productivity as a measurable system. Instrument it, find where delivery actually slows down, and ship the changes that fix it instead of guessing. Take real operational ownership.
